We comply with many strict federal, state and provincial regulations in place to protect the environment. Every Canadian farm is subject to comprehensive environmental assessment under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act. Every Maine farm is subject to initial evaluation and continuing monitoring by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection as provided for under the Code of Maine Regulations and Federal Water Pollution Control Act.

While properly run and properly located salmon farms, like ours, have a relatively small impact on the environment, we still work hard to ensure that our processes and practices respect the environment and minimize their impact.
